The Skyline Valley region in Fallout 76 features numerous Pioneer Scout-themed locations and provides the opportunity to obtain similarly-themed loot. One way to acquire this loot is by completing a treasure hunt, which requires you to use one of the five Pioneer Scout principles. Here’s how to solve the Pioneer Treasure Hunt in Fallout 76.
Where to Start the Pioneer Treasure Hunt in Fallout 76
To start the Pioneer Treasure Hunt in Fallout 76, you’ll need to find the Pioneer Treasure Hunt Start note located at Camp Liberty, which is in the southeastern portion of the Skyline Valley region. Once at Camp Liberty, head to the camp center for the news bulletin board, where you’ll find the note hanging on the board. However, the camp is full of Communist Human enemies, so I recommend clearing out the camp before obtaining the note.
Fallout 76 will not give you any clues outside of the note, so you cannot add a quest to your Pip-Boy or any locations to your map. Luckily, the treasure’s location will be easy to find. You’ll stick close to Camp Liberty, and it’s only a short trek. While heading there, you can uncover new locations and fast travel points for the Skyline Valley region.
Where to End the Pioneer Treasure Hunt in Fallout 76
Based on the provided clues in the Pioneer Treasure Hunt Start note, you’ll want to head north to the location marked on my map above. Specifically, look for three rocks with Pioneer Scout stickers on them. You’ll find the rotted tree stump in the center of these three rocks. Approach it, and you’ll see it acts as a storage container with the Plan: Totem Pole Ornament and the Pioneer Scout Treasure Hunt End note.
Now that you know how to solve the Pioneer Treasure Hunt in Fallout 76, you’ll unlock the Plan: Totem Pole Ornament as your reward!
