Not all weapons are created equally. If you want your enemies to truly rue the day they came across you, use the following weapons, as they’re currently the best weapons in The First Descendant.
Top Weapons in First Descendant
Best Assault Rifle: Divine Punishment
Nothing says “universal firearm” quite like an assault rifle, and in that category, the Divine Punishment reigns supreme. Its respectable ATK value, paired with its superb rate of fire and lightning-fast reload speed, make it a terrifying weapon to go up against at close distances and one you should absolutely use against your foes.
Best SMG: Thunder Cage
The Thunder Cage is absolutely demonic! As its fire rate can attest. It’s especially useful in the hands of a Descendant who likes to go up close like Sharen. Great for dealing with lots of burst damage and for firing on the move. And when it comes to close-quarter capabilities, few can compare to the Thunder Cage, which is what makes it one of the best weapons in The First Descendant.
Best Sniper Rifle: Piercing Light
If you need a weapon that can take out most enemies in a single well-placed shot, then the Piercing Light is the gun for you. It has a relatively low fire rate, its magazine isn’t too impressive, and its high reload time is a bummer. Where this gun shines, however, is in its insane ATK damage, which can one-shot most opponents except the tankiest.
Best Shotgun: Smithereens
Few weapons are more aptly named than the Smithereens shotgun. Great in the hands of a bruiser like Kyle, who likes getting up close and personal with his foes. While it may not have the staying power of the Thunder Cage it more than makes up for it with its sheer alpha damage.
Best LMG: Enduring Legacy
If you like the assault rifle gameplay and hate reloading, then the Enduring Legacy might be the best weapon in The First Descendant for you. Its respectable firepower, decent aimed shot accuracy, and high magazine capacity make it a great all-around weapon for most situations. It may not excel at any specific thing, but its sheer utility in most situations more than makes up for that shortcoming.
Best Hand Cannon: Perforator
The Perforator is a fairly interesting weapon, though it has one major drawback, which is its relatively short effective range. It’s nigh ineffective past 50 meters, but within those 50 meters, it’s an absolute beast! It has one of the best-aimed shot accuracies in the game, making it the perfect weapon for performing snap headshots. Even if you don’t hit the enemy’s weak spot, its ATK damage of 141 will still hurt them.
Best Scout Rifle: Blue Beetle
While it may not have the outright damage of its sniper rifle cousins, the Blue Beetle makes up for it with its impressive fire rate and decent magazine size. What’s more, it has a perfectly aimed shot accuracy, meaning you’ll hit every shot dead in the center. It’s particularly effective for targeting enemy weak points as its critical multiplies are some of its best attributes.
Best Beam Rifle: Clairvoyance
On paper, the Clairvoyance isn’t that impressive. All of its stats are sub-par at best. Where Clairvoyance really shines is in its sutain, which is its strongest suit. The longer you damage an enemy with its beam, the more negative effects are applied to it. It’s particularly effective at taking out big hulking targets like Grave Walkers, though it quickly loses its efficacy when used against nimbler targets.
Best Launcher: Restored Relic
The Restored Relic is one of the most entertaining weapons to use, and it’s undeniably one of the best weapons in The First Descendant. Its inherent guidance feature, paired with the fact that it’s a freaking rocket launcher, makes it one of the best weapons in the game for bursting down chunky opponents. It has limited utility outside that role, but damn is it fun to use regardless.
