With the release of GTA V on the PC fast approaching, we’re all anticipating what exactly will it be like? Will it be smooth? Will the extra work they’ve done on it stand out, and something I want to know, how long until mod support? Well, today i’m going to address all these things and more. i’m going to share my opinion on the last and current gen version of the game and how I expect it to be on the PC, April 14th.
Now, GTA V is soon to hit the PC in just five days, and many people, myself included, cannot wait for its release. The game was delayed before its original release date in March due to more work needing to be done on the game. Personally, I don’t mind the game being delayed, because that just means it’s going to be that much better. But how better exactly? Well, if you’ve seen some of the screenshots and the new 60FPS trailer which I will have linked below, it’s clearly going to be fantastic. The game looks crisp, glowing, and alive.
Last-gen vs. Current-gen
Last-gen’s GTA V was somewhat barebones when you look at the current-gen. It had no first-person, the graphics weren’t up to par, yet that doesn’t mean it was a bad game. I personally enjoyed the last-gen version, and the current-gen just adds more apples to the basket. It adds these new things and enhances the graphics and makes the game a bit nicer overall, and hasn’t really hurt it much. I’m only hoping that the same will be the case for the PC version.
We have been delivered the PC specs for the game, which has stunned quite a few people in that the game isn’t quite demanding, yet for some gamers, they may have to take a trip to the local Best Buy. Either way, despite what the game needs, there are surely going to be multiple graphics settings that will allow almost any gamer to enjoy GTA V.
Let’s talk about mod support
The one thing that people love about GTA games and games in general on the PC, is modding and mod support. There were an insane amount of modifications available for GTA IV such as graphic enhancers, vehicle mods, character and script mods and so many more. So the big question is: are these going to be on GTA V? Well, eventually and hopefully yes, maybe soon enough we’ll all be able to soar the skies as Superman.
Either way, we’ll all be awaiting the release of GTA V on the PC so we can heist with our friends or have a good time with the campaign in first person. I’m Lars Jameson, have a good one.
