Switch Stick may be a new feature to many Madden 25 players, but it was actually introduced in EA College Football. It is probably confusing to many players out there, so I’ll try to clarify and demystify the mechanics behind the Switch Stick option in Madden 25.
How Does the Switch Stick Work in Madden 25
The Switch Stick option is used to switch which the player on the pitch you will be controlling. It is done with your right thumbstick by nudging it in the direction of the player you wish to take control of (for example, if you want to take over a player located to your right, you are supposed to nudge the right thumbstick to the right).
It is also important to note that you shouldn’t be pressing any other buttons while you’re attempting to use the Switch Stick. In addition to that, it seems that the Switch Stick option does not always give you the result you wanted, which can cause quite a few unintentional blunders during your matches. Undisputedly, this has been a source of annoyance for many Madden 25 players, and many have been seeking an option to turn Switch Stick off.
How to Turn off Switch Stick in Madden 25
At this moment, EA has not made it possible for us to turn off the Switch Stick feature in Madden 25. That’s the sad state of matters if you are overwhelmingly frustrated with the existence of this option, but I suppose it is what it is for now unless the community feedback becomes something that EA can’t ignore anymore and decide to either fix this with a patch or decide to do away with the option for the future versions of the game.
That’s all there is to know about the Switch Stick feature in Madden 25. I hope you will manage to get it working to your satisfaction. At our Game Hub you can check out more guides, such as how to throw a touch pass.
