The Squall Hideout is a shrine in Fight Cliff, part of the larger region of Yellow Wind Ridge which occupies the bulk of Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong. In this location, you will find the Man-in-Rock NPC, an enemy-turned-merchant that plays an integral role in unlocking Chapter 2’s secret area. Here’s how to get to Squall Hideout in Black Myth: Wukong.
How to Get to Squall Hideout in Black Myth: Wukong
To find this location, start from the Village Entrance shrine. If you haven’t found this location, find the village first and then leave by passing through its large front gate. The village is an important landmark in this region and holds many useful Spirits.
You should find the village’s gate by just moving the camera while standing in front of the Village Entrance shrine. Enter the village through its red gates and keep moving forward. Leave the pond behind and go through the opening on the left side of the village, near the edge of the rift. Move forward and turn right as soon as possible. You’ll see the exit in the distance.
At this point, you should be able to find Squall hideout by yourself by just moving forward and exploring a little. If you still need help, the next section will go into further details.
Reaching the Squall Hideout Shrine
To reach the Squall Hideout shrine from the village, move towards the large stone in front of you (screenshot part 1). Don’t go through the gate! This part is what makes the Squall Hideout so hard to find. Instead, look to your right. You’ll find a red bridge with a large leaves-less tree beside it.
Go through the bridge and take the slope to your left. This slope can be hard to notice, but you can see it highlighted in the right half of the screenshot above. Taking the road following this slope will eventually bring you to another stone gate.
Go through the gate and continue moving forward. The entrance to this area is a canyon, so it’s hard to get lost. Very soon you will find a Buddha Head. Right behind it is the Squall Hideout shrine.
