A new expansion means another area full of new herbs to gather. However, you won’t be able to learn the next set of Herbalism skills until after you deal with the immediate aftermath of Dalaran’s destruction. But when you get to Dornogal, here’s your guide to Herbalism in WoW: The War Within.
WoW The War Within: Complete Guide to Herbalism
Once you’re in Dornogal and you complete the first quests there, you can head to the Herbalism Trainer marked on the map above. It costs 95 gold, but it certainly doesn’t take long to save up the money. Plus, you likely already have much more than that available just from playing the game to Level 70 and heading to the Isle of Dorn.
New Herbs in WoW: The War Within
Then, you have access to five new herbs and three specialization trees. The herbs you’ll find are Mycobloom in all zones; Blessing Blossom in Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall; Arathor’s Spear is also in Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall; Orbinid in The Ringing Deeps and Hallowfall; and Luredrop in The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Azj’kahet. Since Herbalism is more straightforward than crafting, you can level up purely by gathering these herbs.
WoW: The War Within Herbalism Specialization Trees
Just like in Dragonflight, there are specialization trees for each profession. For Herbalism, you have Bountiful Harvests, Botany, and Overloading the Underground. Bountiful Harvests gives you extra levels to your skill when you harvest herbs, and makes it so that a higher skill level increases your odds of collecting high quality herbs. Botany increases your stats so that you can gather more herbs, get more rare herbs, and gather herbs faster. And finally, Overloading the Underground reduces the negative effects you encounter when gathering variant herbs, such as reducing hallucinations from Sporefused herbs.
