During Sony’s PlayStation E3 2015 press conference, a video trailer revealed the new subclasses, new gear/weapons, and the new enemies/locations in Destiny‘s new expansion, The Taken King.
New Baddies, New Gear, New Supers
The trailer revealed the new enemies, the Taken, which are corrupted minions of Oryx’s army. These new enemies are not what players had envisioned but are a great take on old enemies as they are rejuvenated in a new light or darkness in this sense. The new subclasses for the 3 races were also revealed. Watching the new supers in action shows just how much power are behind these attacks.
Oryx, the father of Crota and the Taken King, debuted in the trailer as a three-eyed demon. Oryx is the new raid boss for the new raid to be released with the expansion. Bungie has not at this time confirmed the new locations shown, but it does look like some encounters are in space, Mars, and on a new planet.
The Taken King is set for release September 15th, 2015.
