Yesterday the Internet was taken by storm. No, this isnt referring to Bungie’s solution to The Taken King controversy. This is about the release date for the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3.
Although Square Enix has decided on a release date for KH3, they haven’t gone public with it. According to director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura, KH3 will have mostly new worlds, and its release date won’t be made public until later this year at the D23 expo in Japan on November 3rd.
With mention of mostly new worlds, we can assume that some fan favorites, as well as highly requested worlds such as Toy Story, The Incredibles and maybe even some Marvel and Star Wars worlds, could be a possibility. Those would be mind-blowing and much-needed additions to the franchise.
Fans of the franchise will have to wait until November’s D23 expo to see what else will be revealed about the game. Hopefully we’ll see some of these new worlds and get word on the release date. Oddly enough, it feels as though Kingdom Hearts 3 might be released Fall 2016 as it’s been confirmed that the game is right on track with development and production.
Keep your fingers crossed!
