After a highly successful Kickstarter back in 2013, epic turn-based, open-world fantasy RPG Antharion will finally be released on July 15th.
From developer Orphic Software, Antharion lets players create and customize a party of four characters, with seven races, nine classes, and fifteen skills to choose from. Five huge provinces, each with its own unique environment, history, and culture, provide a fully interactive open world that is affected by the choices players make.
An open-ended storyline and turn-based tactical combat are reasons why Antharion was successfully funded in under one week, along with its classic art style and dungeon-crawling. Taking inspiration from popular RPGs such as Baldur’s Gate, The Elder Scrolls, Ultima VII, and Pool of Radiance, the first game from this Miami-based developer looks to be a large, lovely, and ambitious role-playing game.
Antharion is available for pre-order for $17.99 DRM-free on Steam and Humble Store leading up to its official release date of July 15th on Windows and Mac.
