Some of the new features of the game include using up to three characters at once, as well as making use of the series’ signature enerbeam system to switch to the tilt function.

Like its predecessor, Sonic Dash 2 will have players spinning, jumping and dodging, but the with all new obstacles, traps, and bosses. Players will also be able to play as Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks with each having their own abilities. When playing with three characters, players will have to choose which character is right for the job; certain paths can only be accessed by certain characters.

Sonic Boom released for the WiiU and 3DS in November of 2014 with the former getting mostly negative reviews, while the latter received mostly mediocre ones. SEGA has also released another endless runner called Sonic Runners not too long ago. Runners played more like a classic Sonic game, with its old-school 2-D platforming. The game got mixed reviews, but still had mostly negative views from fans because it only worked on certain types of Android phones.

What do you guys think? Is it going to be as good as the original? Is Sonic Boom the future of Sonic? Let me know in the comments.
