Konami has issued a statement about an apparent glitch within Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This isn’t a widespread glitch, though it has affected a good number of players.

If you take Quiet, the female sniper and Snake’s companion, on either Mission 29 or 42, the players’ save file could get corrupted from those play throughs. Konami’s support website states that the only way to prevent this from happening, as of now, is to not take Quiet on these missions.

In MGS V: The Phantom Pain, Big Boss wakes up after a nine-year coma and has one mission: take revenge on the men who wronged him. Throughout his journey he travels through Afghanistan and South America, building up his private army and taking down his enemies. As he progresses he makes friends with a deadly but questionable sniper named Quiet. She has the ability to turn invisible and travel at supernatural speeds.

MGS V released September 1st and is available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
