Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires Heading This Way

Owners of Dynasty Warriors 7 on the PlayStation 3 have something to look forward to: DW7: Empires is heading this way early next year.

The Dynasty Warriors series isn’t anywhere near as popular over here as it is in certain regions of Asia, but it still has a dedicated fanbase here in the West. Owners of Dynasty Warriors 7 on the PlayStation 3 have something to look forward to: DW7: Empires is heading this way early next year.

The Tecmo Koei Europe Twitter broke the news for North American fans, stating:

“Helping our brother to announce the news too! release date for North America is February 19, 2013. “

It doesn’t look like Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires will be coming to the Xbox 360 at all. PS3 owners will have to get the expansion via the PlayStation Network.

The Empires expansions are some of the best games in the franchise, as they mix the combat of the DW series with the (very much simplified) expansion and conquering mechanics of the older Romance of the Three Kingdoms games.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires will be arriving on February 19 in North America and will be released in Europe three days later on the 22nd.
