Dragon’s Crown’s Opening Sequence Now on Youtube

The trailer, like the rest of the game's footage so far, looks amazing. I can't wait for Dragon's Crown.

The days are winding down until Dragon Crown‘s release. Until that fateful day finally reaches us, excited gamers can try and sate their thirst for some sword and sorcery badassery by checking out the game’s opening video.

Dragon Crown’s opening cinematic tells you all you need to know about the game. It opens with a dragon, it shows the cast of characters, it takes you through wonderful environments, gives you a glimpse of enemies, and showers you in some enticing 2D gold.

I love how simple the opening video is. It doesn’t bombard the player with anything they won’t see in the game. There is no gratuitous use of prerendered cutscenes nor is there anything over-the-top. It’s reminiscent of the openings from games a few generations back but with gorgeous graphics; this perhaps mirrors its modern take on the old school beat ’em up genre.

I will be attending E3 next week. I plan on getting my hands on the playable Dragon’s Crown demo for as long as I can. I will report back with all the details so stay tuned!
