Disney has been lucky enough to be relevant to many generations of kids–from people who watched The Fox And The Hound in the 80’s, to The Lion King in the 90’s, to Finding Nemo in the 2000’s. I personally am a Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast and Pocahontas fan.
The coolest part of it all though, was when Disney delved into the video game world. I remember renting games for the Ps2 for The Little Mermaid, and it brought my love of video games to a whole new level. Today’s Nintendo E3 conference brought excitement even higher with the official announcement of their name game, Disney Infinity.
The game itself features Disney and Pixar characters alike, racing, playing sports, creating, and building. The character-base so far seems pretty wide. The trailers include movies like Wreck-it Ralph, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Cars, and more.
One of the most exciting parts of the game is the worlds. They re-create different worlds from the movies so players can have a different experience on every level.
Some other cool features found in the game:
- You can create your own world
- There is co-op play for up to 4 people
- You can unlock items, like toys, characters, weapons, and use them in your own game that you, the player, creates.
For Disney fans all over the world, this game brings excitement, and many look forward to what the game will have to offer upon it’s release.
