Nintendo plans to digitally release one indie game each Thursday in September on its eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms in a promotion called #Nindies Summer Jam.
With PAX West right around the corner at the beginning of September, Nintendo wants to make sure that every one has the opportunity to see games that indie developers worked to make.
Nintendo had this to say about the #Nindie Summer Jam:
“The #Nindies Summer Jam promotion not only makes it easy for fans to check out all the latest and greatest indie games on Nintendo eShop, but to also learn more about the developers that have worked so hard to create them.”
The games will be discounted at 10 percent during the week of their release.
The schedule of release will be as follows: Sept. 1, Axiom Verge; Sept. 8, Jotun: Valhalla Edition; Sept. 15, Noitu Love: Devolution; Sept. 22, Severed; and Sept. 30, Azure Striker GUNVOLT 2.
In addition to the discount, featured indie developers responsible for the games will release videos sharing their experiences developing in the Nintendo eShop. Find a full list of indie released game on Nintendo’s website.
