Today, Square Enix announced the relaunch of the mobile RPG Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] for the one year anniversary of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. In a press release, Square Enix said the relaunch “introduces a major update that adds multiplayer mode and additional gameplay enhancements to deliver a complete Kingdom Hearts experience for gamers.”
In the new Union Cross multiplayer mode, mobile players join forces in teams of six while facing Heartless enemies and bosses. Players can communicate through text bubbles and emoticons as they take on new quests and missions. The text bubble feature can also be used to coordinate multiplayer sessions. Additionally, players can access cutscenes from the game in the new Theater Mode option.
The new content for Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] is now available for iOS and Android devices on the App Store and Google Play. For those who already have Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, players just need to update the game to experience the new content. All players who participate in the game’s anniversary will receive free items and in-game currency.
