At this year’s Anime Expo in the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Tales Of franchise announced that Tales of the Rays will be getting an English release this coming summer. It was previously released in Japan on February 28, 2017.
The announcement might come as a surprise those fans who were hoping for an English release of Tales of Asteria — one of two mobile Tales games released in Japan in March 2014. Tales of Link was the other mobile title, and received an English release last year. But instead of porting Asteria to Western mobile devices, Tales of the Rays will be available on iOS and Android instead.
Rays takes you on an adventure with Ix Nieves and Milenna Weiss as they serve as Mirror Knights to fight off the distortion of evil. As of now, the game currently has 9 story chapters, with Velvet from Tales of Berseria coming in Chapter 10 and Cless and Chester from Tales of Phantasia following after her in Chapter 11. Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia will also be released in Chapter 9. Rita Mordio and Raven from Tales of Vesperia are set to join the cast as well.
