New content heavy DLC’s are becoming standard in every gaming experience. Borderlands 2 is no exception, releasing multiple DLC packs like Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep or Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage. It has been announced that it will NOT be the last DLC, despite the four-part season pass add-ons. Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford was quoted as saying,
“So everyone was under the expectations that those would be the four DLC’s and that’s it. We are going to do more, we are going to do some other things. I don’t have details exactly of it yet cause were not ready to announce what the other things are, but when the next campaign DLC comes Assault On Dragon Keep not being the end of it.”
This announcement seems to confirm Gearbox‘s December statement of planning to create post-season pass content.
Hopefully, the next installment of Borderlands 2 DLC will be even more action packed than any of its previous entries. The fifth add-on won’t be included with the season pass, but this shouldn’t discourage fans. Knowing that Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep isn’t the final chapter is exciting news to any fan of the franchise.
