For those of you craving some more speedrunning marathon events, Games Done Quick is hosting Harvey Games Done Quick. And it begins today.
The two-day marathon event is meant to raise money for the Houston Food Bank, one of the main charities that has been helping to support victims of Hurricane Harvey, which has caused massive flooding in and around Houston, Texas, forcing more than 30,000 people to evacuate from the area.
Given that this event was assembled on such short notice, the speedrunners will be streaming remotely on GDQ’s Twitch channel. However, this speedrunning marathon should otherwise be no different from all the rest.
The schedule was announced a few hours ago, and it will be today through Sunday. Be sure to check out the stream and join the event during the next two days as streamers from around the world speedrun games in support of the victims of Hurricane Harvey!
