The top five most anticipated new and upcoming games of 2013 and 2014.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

With 2014  around the corner, I thought I’d take the time to make a little list of the top five most anticipated video games for the next year. E3 was amazing and showed off many games that were gonna blow your head off. But I’m going to list just five games that most people around the world are looking forward to.

1:Thief

From its amazing E3 demo, Thief boasts open-ended gameplay. Thief mixes it up with stealth gameplay and trial-and-error platforming in equal measure. Going in guns blazing isn’t for this type of game. It requires players to take a far more measured and considered attitude to their environment.

Thief has the gameplay  to go straight up the charts! Square Enix has only given us a release date of 2014 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, so patience will be a virtue.

2: FIFA 14

The latest edition of FIFA 14 from EA Sports will be brought to you by the new Ignite Engine. This makes the game closer to a simulation than just a normal soccer game. With crowd improvement and realistic movement from the players as the main new features created from the Engine, both graphic and gameplay wise.

As far as multiplayer goes, online multiplayer is always capable of being a 22-player affair. But local multiplayer is limited to a max of seven players on PS3, five on PC, and four on Xbox 360. FIFA 14 will release on September 24, 2013 to the following platforms, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

3: Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 is another upcoming first-person shooter video game published by Electronic Arts and developed by EA Digital Illusions CE. In the E3 demo, it showed us an assault on a sinking battleship, revealing the Frostbite 3 engine’s gorgeous lighting and some impressive destructible scenery.

Battlefield 4 has huge maps to play on and explore. Players can drive tanks and armored cars and even pilot helicopters and jet skis. The release date is the first of November of 2013 and comes out on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

4: Call of Duty: Ghosts

If you didn’t already know, you’ll have a dog in the next Call of Duty: Ghosts. Developed by Activision-owned studio Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Ghosts will let you lean and slide your way around while shooting up bad guys. In multiplayer, you’ll be able to customize your character’s avatar, switch around bodies, heads and more.

Ghosts is set in modern day, but this time makes us the underdog. Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to release on November 5, 2013 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

 5: Titanfall

As a mecha first-person shooter video game, Titanfall is a breath-taking science fiction shooter. Developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, the game is multiplayer-only. Players can fight either as on foot agile free-running “pilots” or inside huge mech-style robots called “Titans” to complete team-based objectives. Coming out only for the Xbox One and PC, Titanfall plans to be released in 2014.

Are you ready?

In conclusion, all five games are building unprecedented anticipated for next-gen games. These are the games that everybody is looking forward to kicking butt too. Personally, I can’t wait for Thief to come out and steal everything in sight like a professional ninja. If you have any comments on my list, feel free to post away!
