The Fortnite 1.27 update is now live for Xbox One, PS4, and Mac and there are numerous features in this new patch. The new update has changes to gameplay, the user interface, performance, and cosmetics. The patch notes also state that there are improvements to the Fornitemares event.
One of the biggest changes the update includes is a fix to the bug that allowed players to drink slurp juice while running, which has been a common complaint. The update also adjusts the issue of slurp juice’s effects carrying over from the pre-game phase to the battle bus phase.
A big change is that the frame rate on PS4 is no longer capped at 30 fps. While this allows for a wider variety of frame rates, it does have the potential to make your performance inconsistent and cause frame rate dips.
Other fixes affect the world like the fix of floating trees or tears in the terrain; this change also removed the gap that allowed players to get under the terrain. There are many other changes that improve player experience with Fortnite and make the game better overall. You can find the full patch notes here.
