Tomorrow Xbox Live will be releasing Assassin’s Creed II for free. You heard me, free. All Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to get their hands on it for free, starting tomorrow the 16th and ending at the end of the month.
This will be the second title available in the new program announced at E3 called Games with Gold. The first title we saw was Defense Grid: The Awakening which will be available until tonight when they roll on to AC2. This program is a pretty good idea, as long as they roll out some more titles as popular as Assassin’s Creed.
Assassin’s Creed II follows the story of a young man named Ezio Auditore da Firenze as he loses his family and starts his journey to become an assassin. It is an open world game with many side quests and large areas of fifteenth-century Italy to explore. If Assassin’s Creed II peaks your interest then get off your PC and log in to Xbox Live to grab it. If not just wait until the end of the month and see what comes next.
