The focus might be on the big name developers right now, but the Australian Indie scene deserves its chance in the limelight. So far, several particularly intriguing titles have emerged on the showroom floor, and I’ll run you through a couple of my favourites.
Antichamber, bought to us by Alexander Bruce and available right now on Steam, will break your brain. Just watching the trailer made my mind hurt, and I consider myself a puzzle gaming afficiando. It’s like the Aperture Laboratories and Hogwarts got together and had an illicit architectural lovechild, and it’s your job to navigate its twisted halls.
InFlux is still in development, and currently in the Greenlight phase on Steam. It’s quirky, stunning, and best of all, it looks like the perfect game to play while recovering from the brain melting madness of Antichamber. By which I mean it’s likely to gently simmer our thinkpans, rather than outright boil them.
You can check out some of the other intriguing titles here, but these were the ones I’ll be keeping a keen eye on in the coming weeks.
