For those of you out of the Steam loop, Outlast will be released on Steam this upcoming 4th of September. What is Outlast? This game happens to be a survival horror game from the developers at Red Barrel. Don’t feel left out PlayStation fans, the game will be released for the PS4 in early 2014. If you can’t wait, I suggest playing it on the PC through Steam.

You may remember this game, in the demo form from E3 this past 2013. This game is not for the fainthearted, it’s a horror/thriller game. Expect some scares. This first-person game will test your limits on how much you’re willing to risk.

In the game, your character is a reporter, and you’re tipped off that some funny business is happening at the asylum. You’re brought into the character of a defenseless reporter, hiding and fooling ‘soliders’ that walk the asylum. Don’t think it’ll all be hiding, there will be files and reports to obtain to better understand the characters in the game.

Expect to be fully immersed within the backstory and thrilling aspects of Outlast.
