The Doom that Came to Atlantic City Now Has Hope

The Doom that Came to Atlantic City can now be called The Hope that Came to Atlantic City because a publisher, Cryptozoic Entertainment, has come to the rescue.  The company will be taking over the failed Kickstarter board game to try and deliver a great game experience, according to a post made on its website.

For those who may not know, The Doom that Came to Atlantic City is a board game that was funded through Kickstarter to the tune of $122,874, but was unfortunately cancelled last week due to hardships within the original publisher, The Forking Path.  However, it now appears that the game will go into production and those who supported the project will receive a copy at no additional cost.

One has to wonder though, what about the promised refund of the Kickstarter money? 

Keith Baker and Lee Moyer, the minds behind the new board game, said:

“This has nothing to do with The Forking Path or Kickstarter. The project was cancelled, and you are still due your promised refund from The Forking Path. Cryptozoic isn’t assuming responsibility for the Kickstarter project or the actions of The Forking Path: They are simply doing what they can to make things right for gamers who have suffered because of it.”

Cryptozoic Entertainment is best known for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, so it’s a safe bet that they will be able to deliver.  Gamers should look forward to the release knowing it is in the right hands.
