Asymmetrical horror game Dead By Daylight is about to get a new killer inspired by Friday the 13th: Part 3, a new survivor that can manipulate sound, and a new map that comes right out of a Sergio Leone spaghetti western.
Chapter 15 of Dead By Daylight — officially titled Chains of Hate — will release March 10 and features the Deathslinger, “a speargun-wielding engineer looking to reel in his victims.”
DbD has previously featured other lauded horror alums such as Ghostface, Freddy Krueger, and even Ash from The Evil Dead series. While we haven’t seen the Deathslinger in action, it already sounds like he’s following in the footsteps of Jason Voorhees.
In addition to the new spear-gun-wielding killer, survivors will also be able to pick a new character in Zarina Kassir, “a daring filmmaker with a knack for staying quiet and manipulating sound.” Zarina’s secondary ability is what savvy players should look out for, however, because she can instantly heal other survivors so long as she is at full health.
Along with the killer and survivor, Chains of Hate will include the Dead Dawg Saloon map. Behaviour Interactive, the game’s developer, describes the map as an “early settlement on an unforgiving frontier was once the location of an all-out gang war that resulted in a bloodbath.”
The Chains Of Hate DLC for Dead By Daylight officially arrives on March 10. It will cost $7.99. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more on Dead by Daylight, and be sure to check out our tips articles for everything from killer strategies to farming help.
