Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2022: How to Complete Medallion Battalion

Medallions are key to Guardian Games 2022 in Destiny 2. Now they've got a quest about them. Find out all about it in this guide.

If you’re looking to put yourself literally above the non-Medallion havers in the Tower, you need to complete the Medallion Battalion quest during Destiny 2’s Guardian Games 2022. Doing so is something of a grind, but it doesn’t compare to some of the worst the game’s seen in its five years online.

Depending on how hard you push, you can complete this quest in several hours, but there’s no reason to rush it, as you have the entire week to reach its final level. However, the sooner you do it, the sooner you get to show off the Platinum armor glow on your left shoulder and stand on the Platinum podium in the Tower.

How to Complete Medallion Battalion During Guardian Games 2022 in Destiny 2

Medallion Battalion is, at its core, a points game. You need to accrue 240 total Medallion points across the four primary steps to reach Platinum. If you follow our guide on how to earn Medallions, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

Each Medallion type has a point value associated with it, though there seems to be some slight randomization to their value. The value presented below might also be fractional, so you won’t always get the exact amount listed, but more or less depending on what you’ve deposited previously.

  • Bronze ~1 point.
  • Silver ~2 Points.
  • Gold ~3 Points.
  • Platinum ~5 points.
Steps 1-4: Deposit Enough Medallions to Reach the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Torches

Even if you fill your Medallion Case completely, you won’t be completing even the Bronze tier. I had to deposit around 40 or so Medallions to get past the first tier. I was depositing across the rarities, so I wasn’t farming optimally. If you’re only depositing Platinum and Silver, you’ll need far fewer deposits to level up.

Once you reach Bronze, head back to the Tower and activate the Bronze podium on the left side of the Medallion bank. Do the same for Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The reward is a little better each time, but the real treat is activating the Platinum podium. Doing so awards a +2 Pinnacle drop, so if you aren’t already 1560, finishing Medallion Battalion eerie week is well worth the time.

Step 5: Congratulations! You’ve Completed the Quest for the Week

This “step” is the ending point of the Medallion Battalion quest for the current week. You’re encouraged to continue depositing for your class and rolls on The Title SMG.

When the weekly reset arrives on Tuesday at 10:00 AM PST, the whole process will start over, with Step 1 becoming Step 6, and so on. You’ll need to reach Platinum by collecting Medallions again. Have fun! Visit our Destiny 2 guides hub for a bunch of additional coverage across the last years.
