There are 17 mobile suits in Gundam Evolution. Since cooperation plays a huge role in this team-based shooter from Bandai Namco, units need to be evaluated for their ability to either effectively destroy enemy units or support and repair ally units.
Our tier list guide will provide you with the best mobile suits in Gundam Evolution, including tips on how to use their top skills and abilities.
S-Tier Mobile Suits
ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos
- Range: Close.
- HP: 1,000.
- Dash Limit: 3.
Barbatos is the most powerful suit in Gundam Evolution in terms of melee and ranged damage. This suit is also good for stunning enemies and dashing out of danger.
What makes Barbatos really special is its Alaya-Vijnana system, which lets you perform a series of slash attacks, dealing heavy damage to other suits in a close proximity. Barbatos is also useful in mid-air using Boost Jump, and you can stun opponents while dealing extreme damage using the Long Sword skill.
MSN-04 Sazabi
- Range: Close.
- HP: 1,400.
- Dash Limit: 1.
If you don’t want to feel vulnerable in a mobile suit ever again, then pick Sazabi as your main. In addition to its huge HP pool, you also get an extra 1,400 points of shield, virtually doubling your life total.
This suit’s Beam Shot Rifle is the most powerful ranged weapon in the game, capable of insta-killing opponents. And its Funnels ability functions like an AoE stun effect.
One of Sazabi’s more interesting abilities is Enemy Search, which allows you to detect hidden opponents. All this and more make Sazabi a top-tier suit.
A-Tier Mobile Suits
RGM-79SP GM Sniper II
- Range: Long.
- HP: 800.
- Dash Limit: 1.
If you’re not a fan of close-range combat, then this sniper unit will suite you the best.
It has a Sniper Rifle with an extremely accurate scope that allows you to easily headshot opponents. You can also use Sensor Visor to track down hidden enemies. If you want a little bit more damage to make sure enemies are taken out with a single shot, then use Vulcan Pod to fire a super-precise missile.
What’s really cool about GM Sniper II is its Recovery Gun, capable of reviving allies at a distance. The only drawback here is this suit’s low HP level.
MSA-005 Methuss
- Range: Midrange.
- HP: 800.
- Dash Limit: 2.
Methuss is a great healer and support unit for any team. Although it has some weaponry you can use to damage opponents, its main objective is to help teammates.
Use its Repair Cable to repair and revive disabled allies, or use Energy Cable to boost both damage and defenses of your allies.
One of this suit’s more interesting features is the Transform skill, which allows you to fly away and escape damage.
B-Tier Mobile Suits
RX-78-2 Gundam
- Range: Midrange.
- HP: 1,000.
- Dash Limit: 2.
The original Gundam suite is still pretty good! In terms of skillset, it can be best compared to Sazabi. Gundam also carries a Beam Rifle, and it has a 1,000 point protective shield that doubles your HP.
Gundam can also destroy enemy shields using its Hyper Hammer, but other than that, it’s set of skills is rather limited.
MS-06F Zaku II
- Range: Close.
- HP: 800.
- Dash Limit: 3.
There are two variants of Zaku II mobile suit in Gundam Evolution: ranged and melee.
This ranged variant carries a massive Zaku Machine Gun that is super effective at close range but loses its effectiveness at range.
Smoke Discharger allows Zaku II to hide inside a smoke cloud. But be aware that units like Sazabi and Sniper can detect it regardless.
RX-80PR Pale Rider
- Range: Midrange.
- HP: 1,000.
- Dash Limit: 2.
Pale Rider combines elements of crowd control and support. It can slow down enemy units with the help of EMP Grenade, or it can repair allies using Repair Pod.
Pale Rider also carries a rather strong Bullpup Machine Gun, and if you feel like inflicting more damage, then buff it using the HADES system.
Though it often comes down to your playstyle and comfortability, these are the best mobile suits in Gundam Evolution, available now on PC and coming to consoles later this year.
