A Gaming Headset to Challenge all Others

A fantastic gaming headset that can challenge all those high-priced ones.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Being a heavy Minecraft fan and owner of a large town I had to buy a headset that could face the challenge of long TeamSpeak3 chats, and that wouldn’t get tangled up or be too bulky. A few features I was dead set on looking for were Wireless Capability, Internal Battery, and definitely a headset that wouldn’t block out all of my background noises. I found all these features available in the Logitech H800.

Wireless Abilities: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

The best feature with any headset would be getting them wireless. When you’re either using a laptop or desktop you don’t want to be weighed down by cords. Also, you can walk around and fix yourself some food while keeping in touch with the conversation. The range on this headset is decent; you can move around and still get great reception.

A fantastic bonus would be having the little USB nano-reciever fit into the headset by opening a small compartment. You’ll never fear losing this piece knowing you have a place to store it in the headset. The only down-side to this headset is sometimes it crackles. This happens with all wireless headsets, but I’d deal with the miniscule crackling if it means I get a reasonably priced headset that gets the job done.

Internal Battery Life, and How to Charge it

Thankfully this headset doesn’t need a tub of batteries, but instead has a rechargeable internal battery that works really well. To charge the headset you plug it into a USB port with the cord given with the device. The only thing that really sucks about this, is having to use two USB ports when wanting to charge and use it at the same time. Also this is a typical cord, I found out it’s interchangeable with my digital camera cord, so if you lose it you can find a replacement easily.

Headset doesn’t cover ears, being able to hear background noises.

Another great part I love about this headset would be the ability to hear my television over the noises of my games. I like multi-tasking, and having a headset that fits over my ears can be really uncomfortable. This one slides over easily, but you can move them off your ears just as easy.

I’d recommend this headset to any gamer who doesn’t want to destroy their wallet on one device, but still hear some great sound, and have clear-mic quality. The price is right, and the device is completely worth the money spent on it. Oh, and the head-set is collapsible so if you need to take it with you somewhere, it fits comfortably in any laptop bag. If you want to look further into it and you can see where I purchased it for the great price!
