As you might reasonably suspect of any modern video game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a number of in-game currencies. But this isn’t a free-to-play situation. Copper and Geniune Qi each have their own place when it comes to leveling up, and upgrading and buying new weapons and armor. What is a bit of a mystery, though, is the other currency you earn: Accolades.
In Wo Long, you also accumulate Accolades. While you might see this pop up as you kill certain enemies you might be left wondering just why you are being rewarded. Beyond that, you might wonder where and how to spend these accolades. Well, we’ve got you covered and have answers to all those questions and more in this comprehensive guides of Accolades in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
How to Get Accolades in Wo Long
You earn Accolades in Wo Long by avenging other players who have died to the same enemy you are fighting. By killing an enemy that has recently felled a player who is online, you will earn Accolades for your victory and get a pop-up letting you know the username of the player who’ve you’ve valiantly fought for.
Much like bloodstains in the Souls games, there are small flags that mark where online players have died. This is a strong indication that defeating a nearby enemy will earn you Accolades. You can also sacrifice one Dragon Cure Pot use in order to gain a Morale rank at these flags.
How to Spend Accolades
You can spend Accolades once you reach a certain point in the game and recruit the NPC by the name of Zuo Ci. This is also the NPC that allows you to respec your character and change your appearance at will. Once you unlock his services at your Hidden Village hub, he can be found in the main house behind where you spawn into the area.
From Zuo Ci’s menu, simply select Accolade Rewards to get access to the exclusive shop.
Accolade Rewards
There are a handful of things you can redeem your accolade points for, including a pretty standard list of ammo, throwables, and buff items. Avoid wasting your points on these.
You will also be able to buy new emotes here. These are at least exclusive to the Accolade reward shop, so if you plan on playing Wo Long with a group of friends, this might be something worth your points. But it’s the final option that is truly the most useful.
Zuo Ci also offers three armor boxes. There is a bronze, silver, and gold tier box across all 13 melee weapon categories, 3 ranged weapon categories, and 4 armor types. You can exchange accolades for these boxes to get a random item from whichever you choose. Here’s how the exchange rate breaks down:
- 500 Accolades — Bronze Box of Armor: Randomly obtain a 1 or 2 star item. Small chance of obtaining 3 Star.
- 1500 Accolades — Silver Box of Armor: Randomly obtain a 2 or 3 star item. Small chance of obtaining a 4 Star.
- 2800 Accolades — Gold Box of Armor: Randomly obtain a 3 or 4 star item.
That should cover everything you probably wanted to know about accolades and how to spend them. For more Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty guides, keep it locked to GameSkinny and our Wo Long guides hub.
