Disney Dreamlight Valley: Simba’s Seed of Memories Walkthrough

Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Pride of the Valley update brings plenty of exciting quests to discover, including Simba’s Seed of Memories quest. You’ll learn more about Simba’s role in the Valley before the Forgetting, and help him return to his former glory. This guide will show you how to complete the friendship level seven quest.

How to Complete Seed of Memories

First, you’ll need to level Simba up to Friendship level seven, and complete his prerequisite quests, Hakuna Matata, and The Great Gathering. Once you’ve taken those steps, the quest will become available to you.

We recommend asking Simba to hang out for the duration of the quest to save you some effort throughout.

• First, find Simba on your map and select his icon to get a Dreamlight trail to him.
• Go to Simba and talk to him. He wants to know more about his life before the Forgetting, and thinks Scar will know more.
• Find Scar and go talk to him. He’ll mention Dreamlight Tree Seeds that you hid in the Vitalys Mines at Sunlit Plateau, and that Simba used to watch over Dreamlight Trees in the Valley.

• Now, travel to the Vitalys Mines at Sunlit Plateau. You’ll need to find a secret entrance. You can find it on the right side of the Mines, it has sunlight beams coming out of it.
• Interact with the mystery entrance, and the Herbalist Room will suddenly appear.
• You’ll now need to investigate the drawings on the wall on your left, and the Herbalist Table on your right. You’ll need to ask Merlin about what you discovered next.
• Find Merlin, and go talk to him. He’ll provide you with the ingredients for a Potion of Growth and a Potion of Dust.
  • Potion of Growth: 3 Dream Shards, 6 Blueberry, 1 Empty Vial (Crafted from glass).
  • Potion of Dust: 3 Night Shards, 3 Orange Marsh Milkweed (Glade of Trust), 1 Empty Vial.

• Collect all necessary ingredients for the potions, and craft them at any crafting station.
• Return to the Herbalist Room in the Vitalys Mines. You’ll need to interact with the Herbalist table and place the potions in the inventory slots.
• You’ll receive Dreamlight Tree Seeds from the potions, talk to Simba and show him the Seeds. He’ll tell you he knows the perfect place to plant them, you’ll need to follow him there.
• Follow Simba to the pond on the East side of the Sunlit Plateau. 
• Equip your Royal Shovel and dig a hole anywhere next to the pond. 
• Interact with the hole, and plant the Dreamlight Tree Seeds.
• Equip your Royal Watering Can, and water the plant. You’ll be instructed to tend to the plant until it grows. 
• It will take a few real-life days to fully grow, and once it does, you’ll have completed Seed of Memories!
