Destiny 2: How to Get Mindbender’s Ambition Shotgun

The Mindbender’s Ambition was one of the best Shotguns in Destiny 2, first introduced with the Forsaken expansion, and its recent reissue has brought it into the hands of a new generation of Guardians. The weapon’s new perk pool is a little more generalized, making it a good option for both PvE and PvP rather than being laser-focused on usage in the Crucible. Here’s how to get it.

How to Get Mindbender’s Ambition Shotgun in Destiny 2

Like with its original release, the only way to get the Mindbender’s Ambition is to complete the weekly Nightfall activity when the weapon is the reward. That’s the case every few weeks, and Mindbender’s rotates along with the Nightfall. Additionally, there are more Nightfall weapons than activities, so the weapon isn’t keyed to a specific Strike or Battleground.

If you are farming for the Mindbender’s Ambition, Here’s one of the god rolls currently available:

• Barrel: Corkscrew Rifilng
• Magazine: Assault Mag
• Trait 1: Surplus
• Trait 2: Swashbuckler

As an Aggressive Frame, the Mindbenders is best used, well, aggressively. It doesn’t have the range or stopping power as some other Shotguns on the market, but it does allow for a high-speed, high-risk, high-reward playstyle on a good Solar build.

With Solar being so powerful, even in the current sandbox, a well-rolled Mindbender’s can do wonders. It can also come with Incandescent, so if you’d rather use a Shotgun in PvE, it can also provide there.
