Error 1001_2 is making it so many are unable to log in to Honkai Star Rail. Here are some potential fixes so you can get in and play.

The Honkai Star Rail servers are under incredible strain as the game’s launch has garnered unprecedented interest for the Genshin Impact developer. Many trying to play are getting an error and are unable to log in, but there may be some fixes you can try if you can’t login.

The 1001_2 and 1001_1 errors currently making it so players can’t login are most likely related to server strain, but there are some things you can do to try to sort it out.

Is There a Fix for the Unable to Log In Error?

There are a couple different options to try and fix the Unable to Log In Error for Honkai: Star Rail.

  • Check the server status: There is no official server status page, yet, but you can check the Honkai Star Rail Twitter to see if the server has been taken down.
  • Restart the launcher: The age old IT fix can work like magic in this case, though it’s not quite an option on mobile.
  • Disable / Change Your DNS: Check in your mobile settings whether you’re using a private DNS. AdGuard DNS in particular is causing a lot of problems for people trying to connect to Honkai Star Rail.
  • Disable VPN: Using a VPN may cause an error between the service and the server. Disable your VPN and try to log in again.
  • If you’re on a mobile device, switch from Wi-fi to mobile data before attempting to log in again.
  • Reinstall the game: This may fix the error by completely reinstalling all files
  • If all else fails, reach out to HoYoverse via Twitter or Discord for help solving the issue.

There is no big confirmed cause for the 1001_2 or 1001_1 errors making it so you can’t log in, but these are the best options we’ve got for now.
