Who is the Main Character of Honkai Star Rail? Answered

You might be wondering who the main character is in Honkai: Star Rail now that it’s officially released. Well, the main character in HSR is the Trailblazer, but there’s a little more to it than just that. Here we’ll answer who you’ll be taking into the latest fantasy space RPG from HoYoverse.

Who is the Main Character of Honkai Star Rail? Answered

You’ll begin the game playing as Kafka, a woman following instructions from a mysterious figure named Elio. After a few battles, you’ll be joined by Silver Wolf as you search for a Stellaron, a concept that won’t be explained until later in the game. Naturally, a Stellaron needs a receptacle, and that receptacle is your main character.

Once Kafka has the Stellaron, you’ll receive the option of playing a male character (Caelus) or a female character (Stelle). If you don’t like their default names, don’t worry. After you select the gender you wish to play, you’ll get a chance to change the character’s name.

Does it make a difference if you choose Stelle or Caelus? Not really. There’s currently no difference between these two options, so you can select your receptacle based on what you want to play without worrying if it’s the better choice or if your selection will hinder you later in the game.

It’s important to note that once you choose your main character, your decision is final. The only way to switch after that point is by making a new account.
