Oggdo Bogdo is a challenging early battle in Jedi: Fallen Order that’s entirely optional. Keeping in that vein, Jedi: Survivor features a callback fight that amps up the difficulty. Out of everything I’ve played in nearly 25 hours, this mirror fight is by far the hardest boss in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. If you’re wondering how to beat Spawn of Oggdo, our guide has the best tips and strategies for bringing down this Legendary enemy.
It’s important to know that you’ll need to be powerful before taking on Spawn of Oggdo. The first time you stumble upon the boss on Koboh, you likely won’t be ready for the fight. With that in mind, my first piece of advice is to be patient, go train elsewhere first, and return with more skills and abilities.
How to Find Spawn of Oggdo in Jedi: Survivor
To find Spawn of Oggdo, go to the Fort Kahlin meditation point. From there, head to the nearest grappling ledge. It will lead up to a walkway divided into sections by circular doors.
Here you should have a shortcut unlocked to your left that will lead you to a landing pad platform. If you haven’t unlocked the shortcut, you’ll have to take the long way around.
The large platform will have a number of Battle Droids for you to deal with, as well as a shining Priorite Shard in the middle of a circle. Don’t approach this circle area. It will drop you into Oggdo’s lair if you get too close to the center. First, dispose of the Battle Droids before dropping down to the boss.
How to Defeat Spawn of Oggdo in Jedi: Survivor
This guy is nasty. The frog beast takes after his father when it comes to his attack patterns. Knowing how Spawn of Oggdo moves in Jedi: Survivor is the first step in taking him down.
Spawn of Oggdo Moves and Attacks
Oggdo’s only blockable move is a forward lunging bite. He will sometimes perform this multiple times in a row, allowing you to parry away a good deal of his posture bar.
Oggdo has two unblockable red moves (well, three but I’ll get to that).
- The first is a slam signaled by the boss jumping into the air.
- The second is a lunging bite that has a huge range.
Both are best avoided by jumping and air-dashing (you should have that ability by the time you fight Oggdo) as to stay out of the boss’ attack range.
Oggdo’s final move to worry about is a one-hit kill where he grabs you with his tongue. Jumping or running out of the move’s range is the only way to not get gobbled up and have to start the fight all over. I died to this move too many times, so be careful of it.
Best Lightsaber Stances to Use
When it comes to which Lightsaber Stances to use, I wound up finding a winning combination in Double-Bladed and Blaster Stance. Though I hadn’t put any points into Blaster, it’s possible to get a good chunk of initial damage on the boss by shooting off your clip when you first drop down. Switching to Double-Bladed allowed me to attack quickly while coming down from jumps, even if it doesn’t do as much damage as some of the other Stances.
During the winning run, I spent a lot of this fight in the air, so it’s wise to invest in Double-Bladed skills if you can. If you’re deep into the Dual-Wield tree, there are a number of skills there that will give you an edge fighting Oggdo, as well, so it’s also a viable option.
That’s how to beat Spawn of Oggdo in Jedi Survivor. When you’ve finally achieved victory, you’ll be rewarded with Cal’s iconic poncho from Jedi: Fallen Order. For more help, tips, and walkthroughs, head to our Jedi Survivor tips hub.
