In the latest trailer to come out for Killer Instinct, two new characters were announced. One is a completely new character and the other is a returning fan favorite.
Sadira is the first female character to be added to the game. She’s completely new to the Killer Instinct franchise. She’s dressed up in standard assassin fare and has Vega-like claws on both of her hands.
Judging from the trailer, it seems that Sadira might be the leader of a spider god cult. Not only does she seem to have a league of alternate color follower clones and a giant spider, but she also has some web-based abilities herself.
Like Spider-Man with a better butt.
The most exciting information this trailer reveals, however, is not Sadira and her bodacious black widow battle manuevers. The part fans will be the most hype for is the return of Orchid, one of the most iconic characters in the entire series. Not much is shown of her, but fans do get a look into her redesign.
This trailer adds an eighth and ninth character to the roster. This raises the question of whether or not Orchid will be included in the $20 and $40 pack, which include a total of 8 characters, or if Orchid will have to be paid for on her own. Fans will have to wait for an official Killer Instinct announcement to find out.
