Wondering where Kakariko Village is in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? It wouldn’t be a Zelda game without the iconic location, and it returns in TotK. It’s in a similar state as its BotW counterpart, though there are some differences. It’s still a valuable location that can be a hub for a large portion of the map. Here’s how to find Kakariko Village early in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Find Kakariko Village in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
You’ll find Kakariko Village near southeastern Central Hyrule. It’s just east of the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. Alternatively, you can take the road leading east from Lookout Landing. As long as you keep to the southeast, you’ll first reach the Wetland Stable. Southeast of there, nestled in the mountains, is Kakariko Village in TotK.
Why Finding the TotK Kakariko Village Location is Important
Having Kakariko Village and its associated Makasura Shrine active will make accessing the southeastern portion of the map much easier. Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower isn’t far from Kakariko Village, and you can get to the Faron, Necludaa, and Lanayru regions within a few minutes walk. Lanayru is of particular note, as that’s home to Zora’s Domain, one part of the Regional Phenomena main quest, and most importantly, Prince Sidon.
The Kakariko Village armor shop is also where you get the ninja-themed Stealth armor, which I think is some of the best fashion in the game. Different pieces go well with various other sets and are great for sneaking up on enemies or sitting creatures like Fairies or wild horses.
You’ll need to complete the Gloom-Borne Illness quest to bring the armor prices down to a reasonable level, but once you do, you can buy the whole Stealh set and the Radiant Set for a few thousand Rupees.
Kakariko is also now home to the Ring Ruins; giant stone rings that fell from the sky and whose exploration is part of the A Trip Through History quest.
Hopefully, reaching the location of Kakariko Village in TotK is now a simpler task. For more help with the latest in The Legend of Zelda series, check out our guides to the 12 best sidequests, the 10 strongest Fuse weapons, and more in our TotK guides hub.
