The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker are two legendary unique armaments that can be yours after a little questing. Getting them requires completing a couple of quests, including the Regional Phenomena objective in Gerudo, along with finding a few crafting items. Here’s our guide to help you get the Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Minor spoilers follow.
How to Get the Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
TotK Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker: The Missing Owner Quest
Before you can obtain the Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker, you’ll need to complete The Missing Owner side quest in Gerudo Town. This is given to you by an NPC named Cara, who runs the village’s jewelry shop.
The goal is to find the owner, Isha, who’s lost in the desert. You’ll come across Isha in quite a predicament, as she’s stumbled upon a Molduga Lair in Toruma Dunes. The coordinates are (-4771, -2826, 0034). You can also refer to our Molduga boss guide on how to defeat this monstrous foe.
Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker: Pride of the Gerudo Quest and Requirements
After rescuing Isha, return to Gerudo Town and talk to her. She’ll tell you about the Pride of the Gerudo quest, where she’d be able to craft the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker. Here are the required materials:
- 10x Flint — Flint tends to drop often from regular ore deposits in caves, mines, and mountain paths.
- 4x Diamond — These can be found in precious ore deposits, such as those in the Sky World. Some are also rewarded in Shrines, like Jochi-Ihiga/Rock For Sale. Isha will give you one as well as a reward for rescuing her from the Molduga. Moreover, if you already have a single Diamond, you could just dupe the materials.
- 1x Gerudo Scimitar and 1x Gerudo Shield — These gear pieces can be found in various locations. I suggest heading to some of the closer areas, which I’ll make note of below.
Where to Find the Gerudo Scimitar and Gerudo Shield
I personally prefer a couple of spots where you can find the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gerudo Scimitar and Gerudo Shield. The first is the aforementioned Molduga Lair in Toruma Dunes, where you rescued Isha. That’s because when Moldugas are defeated, they’ll drop a chest.
In some cases, these might contain a Gerudo Scimitar or Gerudo Shield. I advise you to save before taking out the Molduga. If you don’t get the item you need, you could always reload that save to try again.
Another location is the Ancient Altar Ruins, which is west of the South Lomei Labyrinth. The coordinates are (-2556, -3675, -0045). Basically, you’ll need to fall down via sinkholes that take you to an underground cavern. There are a few chests scattered here, so make sure you track them via the Purah Pad Sensor+ upgrade.
Last but not least, we have a Gerudo Scimitar and Gerudo Shield locations guide if you still need to obtain these gear pieces.
TotK Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker Stats
After gathering all the items, return to Isha in Gerudo Town. She’ll then craft the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker. Here are their respective stats:
- The Scimitar of the Seven is a one-handed sword. It has a +28 attack power rating.
- The Daybreaker, meanwhile, is a shield. It has a +48 defense rating.
Additionally, Isha is willing to craft additional items if the original ones have been destroyed and as long as you have the required materials. If you ask me, however, I think it’s better to just dupe weapons and shields to avoid hassles.
That’s how to get the Scimitar of the Seven and Daybreaker in Tears of the Kingdom. You can find other regional legendaries/unique weapons throughout the campaign. Examples include the Lightscale Trident from Zora’s Domain, the Great Eagle Bow from Rito Village, and the Boulder Breaker from Goron City. Likewise, there are countless activities and mechanics in the game, so be sure to visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub for more tips, strategies, and walkthroughs.
