The release of the PlayStation 3 version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f was a bit of a surprise, even with the advance warning. Fans of the series hoping to see the PS Vita version come West were disappointed earlier this year, but no longer: Portable Miku is West-bound!

The Sega blog brought on the good news earlier today, citing the PlayStation 3 version’s ‘successful reception’ as the reason they have decided to bring Project Diva f on the Vita over as well. The game will see a PSN release in North America and Europe in early 2014.

Miku-vasion!

Something to note for those who are not long-time fans is that the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f are the same game, with the PS3 release having come after the Vita in Japan in 2012.

This certainly is exciting news for fans who have been following the Vocaloid games over the years. If the PS3 release was enough to prompt Sega to bring over the Vita version, Project Diva may have a chance in North America and Europe. Fingers crossed!
