Supermassive Games has announced that they are still working on Until Dawn, an adventure horror game slated for the PS3.
In this game, the story follows a group of teenagers who decide to stay at a log cabin on the anniversary of their friend’s death. While at the log cabin, they are hunted by a serial killer. As the player, you will rotate through the different characters as the story progresses, armed with a flashlight. The flashlight is designed to be controlled by the Playstation Move controller.
Keep that flashlight handy, you’re going to need it!
Supermassive Games managing director, Pete Samuels, had this to say in an interview with Polygon.
“Until Dawn is very much still in development, going really well, and without any deliberations of possible cancellation that I’m aware of. We’re very pleased with the way it’s going. I’m sure that there will be more news soon, but I couldn’t say exactly when.”
Whether it’s the same game they initially started, or if they’ve completely redone it for the PS4, is unknown. We’ll just have to wait and see what Supermassive brings out.
Let’s just hope they don’t keep us hanging for too long.
On a side note, it seems The Eternity Clock did not do well enough to warrant another Dr. Who game release by Supermassive. The BBC still has more Dr. Who games planned, just not with Supermassive.
