Week 6 quests will ask you to travel distance northeast in Fortnite, and while it sounds pretty straightforward, I’ll admit that it can be a little tricky figuring out how to complete it. Completing the challenge gives you 40,000 experience and opens up a second step, damaging opponents. Below, I’ll tell you the best way to complete the mission, going a total of 5,000 meters.
How to Travel Distance Northeast in Fortnite
Here’s how to travel distance northeast in Fortnite:
- Head to the furthest Southwest island of the map, then travel Northeast.
- Head Southwest anywhere, then Northeast, and turn around to repeat the process until you’ve met your goal.
Either method will contribute toward the total of 5,000 meters needed to travel distance northeast, but both require you to utilize your compass at the top of your screen. The compass’ orientation will change based on your position throughout the match. You’ll simply need to turn your character in the correct direction by watching the compass until it lines up with NE.
Traveling from the Southwest Island to the furthest Northeast corner of the map will give you around 1,500 meters at a time. The second step listed above is particularly useful when the storm closes in and shrinks the area you have to work with.
Importantly, the quest doesn’t specify how you need to travel distance northeast, so I’d recommend using a vehicle. I found a dirtbike in the Jungle while I was traveling across the map, which helped me complete the quest more quickly. I utilized both methods to make progress in the quest and had to play more than one match to meet the goal (curse you, Storm!).
