For an awesome, PvP-centric Pulse Rifle, you'll want the Autumn Wind god rolls listed in this guide.

Destiny 2: Autumn Wind Pulse Rifle God Roll Guide

For an awesome, PvP-centric Pulse Rifle, you'll want the Autumn Wind god rolls listed in this guide.

Getting the right Autumn Wind Pulse Rifle god rolls might not change how you play Destiny 2 PvE, but it can be useful in PvP. Long out of rotation, it’s easy to forget this is a reissue of the same weapon from the Curse of Osiris DLC in Year 1. In the current competitive Pulse Rifle meta, you’ll want this in your armory, especially considering it’s a fantastic primary option fo mid-to-long ranges.

Autumn Wind Pulse Rifle God Rolls in Destiny 2

Don’t expect the Autumn Wind to take PvE by storm. Pulse Rifles are notoriously sub-par when fighting the enemies of humanity, even in the base Vanguard Ops or Seasonal playlists. They certainly serve a purpose in this part of Destiny 2, but Autumn Wind is outclassed in most ways by more specialized options.

PvP is a different story entirely. While Autumn Wind might not exceed the likes of No Time to Explain (and what can?), it’s comparable with the right god roll, and being that it’s a Legendary, your Exotic slot is open for something else.

Autumn Wind PvP God Roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake, Chambered Compensator
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds, Alloy Magazine, Extended Magazine
  • Trait 1: Rangefinder, Killing Wind
  • Trait 2: Headseeker, Moving Target, Rampage

You’ll want to focus on two main stats when looking for Autumn Wind god rolls when focusing on PvP: Weapon controllability and optimizing your precision damage. Luckily, you can get the best of both worlds with some combination of the above perks. Weapon uptime is also a priority, and Autumn Wind provides there.

Which perks you pick ultimately depends on how you want your weapon to feel. A slower, beefier Autumn Wind might use Extended Magazine and Rampage; a more mobile version of this Pulse Rifle god roll could be Alloy Mag and Moving Target.

Autumn Wind PvE God Roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake, Chambered Compensator
  • Magazine: Extended Magazine, Ricochet Rounds, Armor-Piercing Rounds
  • Trait 1: Demolitionist, Perpetual Motion
  • Trait 2: Rampage, Frenzy

In most circumstances, we don’t recommend using the Pulse Rifle weapon class in PvE, but Bungie might update things down the line and make them absolute monsters.

As good as some of the PvE options are in the Autumn Wind perk pool (Demo/Frenzy, for instance) because it’s a Pulse Rifle, it’s not worth using in the current Destiny 2 sandbox. You never know if that will change down the line.

Those are your Autumn Wind god rolls for both PvE and PvP. Almost nothing can compete with the right setup, provided your aim is good, and they aren’t using the possibly broken options like No Time to Explain or a sniper rifle from a long distance.
