About The Author
Broken paramedic and coffee-drinking Englishman whose favourite dumb animal is an oxymoron. After over a decade of humping and dumping the fat and the dead, my lower spine did things normally reserved for Rubik's cubes, bringing my career as a medical clinician to an unexpectedly early end. Fortunately, my real passion is in writing and given that I'm now highly qualified in the art of sitting down, I have the time to pursue it. Having blogged about video games (well, mostly EVE Online) for years, I hope to channel my enjoyment of wordcraft and my hobby of gaming into one handy new career that doesn't involve other people's vomit.Mat Westhorpe - Page 27

When is a review not a review? When the reviewer refuses to play the game for fear of exposure to a travesty of a canon which deserves better. Is there a solution? Maybe time can patch all wounds.

Part two of my attempt to indoctrinate the wife into playing MMOs by dressing it up as a romantic experience. In this instalment, I try to keep my mind out of the gutter long enough to show her the ropes and create some characters for our online liaison.

The editor wanted a Valentine's Day feature, the wife wanted a date. I'm not sure if this will make either of them happy, but here's the very first (and possibly the very last) 'Digital Date Night', an excruciating attempt to make playing a video game together a romantic experience. If it's any consolation, I felt as uncomfortable writing it as you probably will reading it. Enjoy.
