About The Author
Broken paramedic and coffee-drinking Englishman whose favourite dumb animal is an oxymoron. After over a decade of humping and dumping the fat and the dead, my lower spine did things normally reserved for Rubik's cubes, bringing my career as a medical clinician to an unexpectedly early end. Fortunately, my real passion is in writing and given that I'm now highly qualified in the art of sitting down, I have the time to pursue it. Having blogged about video games (well, mostly EVE Online) for years, I hope to channel my enjoyment of wordcraft and my hobby of gaming into one handy new career that doesn't involve other people's vomit.Mat Westhorpe - Page 39

In the continuing improvements that have recently allowed more realistic visuals and physics, a number of maps have been remodelled. Province, El-Halluf and Abbey have all been tweaked to promote more varied tactical options and Dragon Ridge has been reintroduced to the map cycle.

With the introduction of war-steeds, LotRO players are now able to engage in horseback combat, which is dependent on momentum and positioning as much as more traditional MMO combat techniques. New skills and disciplines have been introduced which augment existing abilities and provide a whole new depth to combat and tactics as the vast plains of Rohan are explored.

In 1984, David Braben gave the world the first real-time 3D game. Now, a mere 28 years later, a new version of his sci-fi classic is coming. This is huge news, but can it be a success?
