Elder Scrolls Online Guide: Aldmeri Dominion Racial Skills

Aldmeri Dominion is a faction in Elder Scrolls Online made up of 3 races. These races are: High Elf, Wood Elf, and Khajiit. High Elves were the first to settle in Tamriel and are great at using magic. Wood Elves are stealthy and great at using bows. They live in the forests of Valenwood. Khajiit are a cat-like race that are also stealthy and good with melee weapons.

Each race has passive skills that reflect their nature. I’ll go over each skill in detail and give tips/suggestions on play styles they are best suited for.

Aldmeri Dominion Races

High Elf

Destruction Talent – Gives a 15% experience boost to the Destruction Staff weapon skill line.

• Unlocks – When you create a character. High Elf Rank 1.

Spellcharge – Increases Magicka recovery while in combat by 3%.

• Unlocks – High Elf Rank 5. There are 3 total ranks, each increases by an extra 3%.

Gift of Magnus – Increases Max Magicka by 4%.

• Unlocks – High Elf Rank 10. There are 3 total ranks of the skill, each rank increases by an extra 4%.

Elemental Talent – Increases damage with Cold, Fire, and Shock effects by 2%.

• Unlocks – High Elf Rank 25. There are 3 total ranks, each increases by an extra 1%.

High Elf Play styles – Great for anyone using Magicka heavily. Also for destruction staff users and elemental magic.

Wood Elf

Archery Expertise – Gives a 15% experience boost to the Bow weapon skill line.

• Unlocks – When you create a character. Wood Elf Rank 1.

Vigor – Increases Stamina recovery while in combat by 3%.

• Unlocks – Wood Elf Rank 5. There are 3 total ranks, each increases by an extra 3%.

Resist Affliction – Increases Poison and Disease Resistance by 7 and Max Stamina by 1%.

• Unlocks – Wood Elf Rank 10. There are 3 total ranks of the skill, each rank increases poison and disease resistance by an extra 7 and max stamina by an extra 1%.

Stealthy – Increases Stealth Radius by 1 meter and damage from stealth by 3%.

• Unlocks – Wood Elf Rank 25. There are 3 total ranks, each increases stealth radius by an extra 1 meter and stealth damage by 3%.

Wood Elf Play styles – Great for stealth users or those that use bows heavily.

Khajiit

Medium Armor Expertise – Gives a 15% experience boost to the Medium Armor skill line.

• Unlocks – When you create a character. Khajiit Rank 1.

Robust – Increases Health recovery while in combat by 5%.

• Unlocks – Khajiit Rank 5. There are 3 total ranks, each increases by an extra 5%.

Stealthy – Increases Stealth Radius by 1 meter and damage from stealth by 3%.

• Unlocks – Khajiit Rank 10. There are 3 total ranks, each increases stealth radius by an extra 1 meter and stealth damage by 3%.

Carnage – Increases melee attack critical rating by 2%.

• Unlocks – Khajiit Rank 25. There are 3 total ranks, each increases by an extra 2%.

Khajiit Play styles – Great for anyone using stealth a lot with melee combat. Also, people focused on using Medium Armor heavily.
