Supergiant Games, the makers of Bastion are back with their new game, Transistor.

Transistor is a game that blends strategic and fast-paced action gameplay with rich storytelling. In Transistor you’ll be exploring a stunning futuristic city, players will be thrown into a story that revolves around a Young woman who is nearly killed by a group of assailants with an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin. She somehow manages to gain control of this unknown weapon.

Well damn, you looking fine!

The game itself looks really interesting for a few reasons. One of those being the art style, it reminds me a lot of Bastion with a bit more of a sharper and darker design/detail to it. I love how the city and stages look, you can really tell someone sat down and put a lot of thought into the design and look of this game.

How exactly will that work?

As I said earlier, Transistor is trying to blend strategy and fast paced action together. The way they’ll be doing this is by allowing you to run and attack in real time but also allowing you too switch to a strategist grind where you can plan out your attacks and movements. It looks and sounds very interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how it’ll actually work when the game is released sometime in 2014.
