I’m not one to condone attacking people for having different beliefs than I do. But against my better judgement, I’m totally okay with Anonymous launching a full-on assault against the Westboro Baptist Church.
They can go suck eggs. Rotten ones.
The WBC has to go sticking their nose in everything, and last week’s Sandy Hook tragedy is proving to be no exception.
On Saturday, the very, very fringe “church” announced plans to picket Sandy Hook Elementary School:
Westboro will picket Sandy Hook Elementary School to sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment.

Anonymous refused to let this insane disrespect fly, and struck back. The group of hackers released a video letting their objection be known.
From the video:
We will not allow you to corrupt the minds of America with your seeds of hatred. We will not allow you to inspire aggression to the social factions which you deem inferior. We will render you obsolete. We will destroy you. We are coming.
Additionally, they’ve published personal information of some church members, including name, address, and employer.

They’re everywhere. Maybe at your local Foot Locker.
Well, one guy is, anyway, if Topeka, Kansas is local for you.
In a more straight-laced show of disapproval, Anonymous submitted a petition to the White House’s We the People petition site, calling for the Westboro Baptist Church to be classified as a hate group. The petition has gained enough signatures for President Obama to formally address it.
Say what you want about their ethics or lack thereof. I’m Team Anonymous on this one.
Some Reddit users have also pledged their support, vowing to form a human barrier to disrupt Westboro’s deranged show of disrespect. Some gathered in Aurora, Colorado when Westboro Baptist Church picketed a memorial service for the deceased there in July.
