Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – First Look At PC Version

All New Screenshots Of The PC Version Of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Last week at Gamescom we got a sneak peek at the PC version of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The website PCGH.de was there in person and was able to give us a coomparison between the PC version and the PS4 version.

"The PC version is far superior to the PS4 version. The textures are higher resolution, smoke and particle effects are on a whole other level and the appearance of the water is much more complex."

According to PCGH.de the PC version looks a bit better due to things like TXAA anti-aliasing, higher texture resolution, and particle effects. In my opinion the PC will always beat consoles, but don't worry console lovers the PS4 and Xbox One versions will still look amazing. Check out the screenshots above, all were taken from the PC version of the game.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is set for release on the 29th of October for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are both confirmed to be released by the end of November. Sadly, my PC friends, the PC version still has no official release date other than the 4th quarter of 2013.
