Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn finally launches today, and I want YOU to join the GameSkinny linkshell on the Coeurl server — provided you have no prior engagements elsewhere. I’m not saying we’re MLG pro blahblah, but it is certainly better than playing alone!
What is a linkshell?
In Final Fantasy XIV, linkshells serve as in-game community groups/chat rooms. This is unlike the definition of linkshell in Final Fantasy XI, in which they served as the game’s version of guilds.
Linkshells require no real commitment and do not bar you from being in other community groups. A character can be a member of up to 8 linkshells at a time.
The GameSkinny linkshell
Bizarrely enough, our linkshell was created by a GameSkinny community member (as opposed to me pimping the site in-game). It is open to any and all interested parties on the Coeurl server who don’t want to brave the dangers of Eorzea alone, but also aren’t looking to rush through things either.
Because it is a linkshell and not a free company (FFXIV‘s guild equivalent), members don’t have ‘GameSkinny’ hanging out on their profiles or anything. No public branding for you!
