I have been thinking about the way that I shop. I am a major bargain hunter. I usually know where the discounts, coupons, and deals can be found. But if I want to play a game, or get a book on a game, all that flies out the window. I want my game NOW! So I just have to look online.
This week my nephews are visiting my boyfriend and I. We introduced them to Guild Wars 2 and like any intelligent person they fell in love with the game.
Obviously, now I have to get them a copy of Guild Wars 2. I know I want a digital download. I like the downloads because of the speed I can get it and how easy it is to back up. The only games I have bought with a CD and box are those that I have preordered.
First, I check the original price at Guildwars.com; they want $49.99. Then I try Amazon.com, it is the same. Now I am going to try a Google search to see if I can find a better price. I search on “Guild Wars 2 price.” Wal-Mart has it for $40.49. I do not see it for cheaper.
Now to check ebay.com. There are a few used ones and some new ones that want more than GuildWars.com. There is one up for bid that is at $15 today. It will go up but could be a good price.
I will end up getting it from Walmart.com.
So what do you do? Do you just go to the developer’s website? Do you buy used?
Leave a note and let me know. It will be interesting to see how everyone buys.
